I like a good night out as much as the next person, drinking and dancing the night away, but more and more often I find myself wanting a fun night but without the stresses of leaving the house. A survey by Ladbrokes Bingo showed that 70% of UK women prefer a girls night in and I must say, I’m inclined to agree with them.
I’m from Cambridge originally and the top 3 things that people in Cambridge hate about nights out on the town are;
Expensive drinks (67%)
Long queues at the bar (65%)
Sore feet (55%)
all 3 of which do my head in and can be avoided by a good night in. Now, a night in doesn’t have to be boring.
In fact, I’d argue that you can have more fun at home than out at the bar queuing for hours, feet aching, spending a fortune on poncy cocktails. I’d much rather get my favourite girls together, play our favourite songs (with no annoying DJs chatting over the top!), dress up (but stick to comfy slippers!) and get making our own cocktails for half the price. Or why not pick your favourite funny films, don your PJ’s, make some delicious pasta and stay up all night putting the world to rights?
